NARRATIVES OF HOPE, MEMORY AND TRUST IN THE AMERICAS: SYMBOLIC TECHNOLOGIES FOR INHABITING THE FUTURE
In the Americas, the crisis of trust is not only political, institutional or media-related. It is also narrative: many communities, institutions and territories have lost the capacity to recognize themselves in shared stories. This symposium proposes to study narratives of hope as symbolic technologies capable of organizing memory, rebuilding bonds and activating shared futures.
