An academic gathering to strengthen knowledge and cooperation across the Americas

We warmly welcome you to the 59th edition of the International Congress of Americanists (ICA), which will be held from July 5 to 9, 2027, at the facilities of the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. Ecocampus Medellín. This Congress, in addition to having the support of the Mayor's Office of the Special District of Science, Technology and Innovation of Medellín, demonstrates UPB's commitment to scientific progress and to social, urban, and educational transformation.

With gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility, we take on the trust that the Permanent Committee and the General Assembly of the 58th ICA placed in us in July 2025, in the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. It is an honor for UPB and its partner institutions to continue the historic legacy of the ICA, to contribute to the integral development of the Americas, and to strengthen the academic and inter-institutional bonds that unite us around the world.
