Campus UPB in Laureles: accessible, cultural and close to everything
The congress will take place at the main campus of the UPB (Circular 1 #70-01), located in the heart of the Laureles neighborhood. This is located in a residential sector, west of Medellin. It has a semicircular urban design that, thanks to its accessibility and attractive urban context, offers an optimal environment for international events. Laureles stands out for its high quality of life and for having a representative number of parks for recreation and abundant hotel and gastronomic offer a few meters away from the UPB campus. This diversity will allow congress attendees to enjoy breakfasts, lunches or dinners without long trips and without moving away from a pleasant cultural experience.
The Integrated Transportation System of the Aburrá Valley connects directly to the UPB with the Metro, Metroplús, Metrocables and buses, which arrive very close (Atanasio Girardot Stadium) or, some, to the gates of the campus from the center of the city. This efficiency reduces travel times and costs.
From the UPB you reach the José María Córdova International Airport (MDE) in Rionegro through the Oriente tunnel in 35 minutes, by taxi or bus (about 25.4 km); While Olaya Herrera Airport (National) is 5 minutes away. This proximity minimizes travel times and facilitates arrival.
