LANGUAGE, EDUCATION, TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIETY: MULTILINGUAL PERSPECTIVES FOR THE FUTURE

This symposium seeks to create an academic and cultural space for critical, interdisciplinary reflection on the role of language, education, technology and educational policies in building inclusive, multilingual and culturally diverse societies. The proposal integrates approaches from linguistics, neurolinguistics, translation, interpretation and cultural and social studies, articulated with the technological advances that are transforming communication and learning.

The event is structured around keynote lectures, thematic panels, interactive workshops and cultural spaces. Topics addressed will include educational inclusion in multicultural contexts, the challenges of bilingualism and multilingualism, the contributions of neurolinguistics to learning, the role of translation and interpretation as cultural and political mediation, and the impact of technology — including artificial intelligence and digital platforms — on teaching and global communication.

Expected outcomes include the publication of academic proceedings, analysis of educational policies sensitive to linguistic and technological diversity, collaboration networks among researchers, teachers, translators and developers, as well as greater social awareness of the value of multilingualism and technological innovation in building global citizenship.

The rationale for the symposium is grounded in the need to articulate education, language, technology and society in an interconnected and diverse world. The integration of pedagogical, linguistic, technological and cultural approaches will make it possible to design innovative proposals that strengthen inclusion, equity and intercultural dialogue, positioning the event as an academic and social point of reference.
