humanity currently faces profound transformations arising from the energy transition, the expansion of decontamination policies, and the consolidation of new environmental institutions that demand appropriate dialogue in the face of the tensions that arise between indigenous peoples and development agendas oriented toward regenerative futures. this symposium proposes to analyze these challenges and their discursive expressions based on research carried out in different territories of latin america; an initiative arising from the dialogue between two doctoral theses at the pontifical bolivarian university: one focused on institutions, environment and law, and another on intercultural and decolonial dialogue with the wayuu people within the framework of the energy transition. along these thematic lines, the aim is to broaden the discussion by incorporating other research and comparative perspectives that allow for reflection on shared questions: under what criteria and processes do environmental institutions acquire legitimacy in relation to indigenous peoples? how can forms of justice be incorporated that engage in dialogue with their own normative frameworks within the context of the energy transition? under what conditions do regenerative development models manage to differentiate themselves from previous extractive dynamics, and what are their limits? what institutional and epistemic conditions would enable the effective participation of indigenous peoples in the formulation of climate policies? based on these questions, the aim is to build an interdisciplinary dialogue among researchers, institutions and public policy actors interested in more democratic, intercultural and socially sustainable environmental governance<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","simposio_area":[60],"class_list":["post-10656","simposio","type-simposio","status-publish","hentry","simposio_area-futuro-regenerativo-sostenibilidad-cambio-climatico-y-bienestar"],"yoast_head":"\n
