This Symposium aims to welcome papers focused on reporting, analyzing and debating pedagogical practices, whether in basic or higher education, that foster the autonomy of learners through a liberating education. By liberating education we mean pedagogical actions aimed at developing reflection, critical thinking and the politicization of learners, empowering them to assume themselves as bearers of rights and responsibilities, but above all as producers of democratic values, both existentially and socially. Although liberating pedagogy is closely associated with the figure of Paulo Freire, we will not restrict submissions to works framed by his pedagogy alone, but will also include works from other theoretical-practical orientations that fit the proposed theme. In doing so, we aim to ensure a rich theoretical debate on the directions of education in Latin America, a region historically marked by European colonization and by the dictatorships implemented in the mid-twentieth century, which has always lacked pedagogical practices of this nature.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","simposio_area":[53],"class_list":["post-10520","simposio","type-simposio","status-publish","hentry","simposio_area-educacion"],"yoast_head":"\n
